This cuvée is made from a very old plot of Merlot situated in the commune of Montagne-Saint-Emilion and is a wine that continues to complete our range at Château Moncets. Today it represents the purity of this single grape varietal and is from one of the most beautiful terroirs of the Right Bank.

TASTING NOTES

Garnet-red hue with a good intensity.
The nose is very expressive on spicy and toasty notes combined with red fruits notes. After swirling, the wine reveals a liquorice and wet wood bouquet.
The mouth is well-structured with silky and generous tannins. Red fruits, blackcurrants & currants fill your mouth to please your taste bud!

TASTING NOTES

The Château La Bastidette shows off a black colour with garnet-red tints. The nose is very expressive, with blackcurrant and cherry aroma, mixed with vanilla and mineral notes. This vintage is concentrated and round in mouth, well balanced with a touch of freshness. It is already a greedy and pleasant wine.

TASTING NOTES

Vintage 2016 can be himself and express all his potential with Château   La Bastidette : the nose and the mouth are the perfect example of Merlot qualities from the right bank.  Blackcurrent, cherries, violet are the predominant aromas, blowing up in the mouth for your taste buds best pleasure.  Freshness, concentration and roundness give the tempo and sublimate the aromas.
